A Chicago Staple Arrives in Minneapolis

GiordanosIf there is a debate in Minneapolis when it comes to pizza, it most likely is how to slice the pie. While many shops slice it the traditional way, several others slice their pies into squares.

Now, however, a whole new debate might open up.

Chicago pizza pioneer, Giordano’s, is opening up shop on Hennepin Avenue in Uptown Minneapolis where a gas station used to sit many years ago.

The Chicago-based restaurant is internationally known for its deep dish stuffed pizzas, a style that is known across the country as Chicago Style.

The Minneapolis location, which is Giordano’s first in Minnesota and 52nd nationwide, will offer lunch, dinner, carry-out and a full bar. The restaurant officially opens at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2015.

Giordano’s Minneapolis location is located at 2700 Hennepin Ave. S. Check it out and let’s start a new debate: deep dish or traditional crust. What do you say?
