Afton Alps, in partnership with Vibram, the worldwide leader in high performance soles and partner of Vail Resorts, has announced the opening of a championship caliber disc golf course. The course is designed to provide a high-level, challenging disc golf experience set against stunning hilltop views.
The course opened on Friday, July 1, with a grand opening celebration to take place on Saturday, July 23.
You can get a day pass for just $10 and play as many rounds as you would like, or that your lungs and legs can handle.
And, they have an “Opening Special.” Now through July 24, you can get a BOGO pass. That is, buy one pass and get one free (both golfers must be present at the time of purchase, and both passes must be used that same day).
If Disc Golf isn’t your thing, but FootGolf is, Afton Alps has you covered.
Just like regular golf, players kick off from a tee box (orange tee markers) and attempt to get their soccer ball in the cup in the least amount of kicks. The larger 21-inch diameter cups (marked with an orange flag) are placed off to the side of the fairways and regular greens.
Bring your own size 5 soccer ball (or smaller for juniors), or they have a few available for rent.
You can play 7 days a week, sun up to sun down, although they strongly recommend you get a tee time.
