Free Workouts with Fitbit Local

fitbit-localFitbit, the wellness company that makes wearable devices that track your steps, is launching Fitbit Local, a series of free monthly workouts throughout the country. And they are launching here in Minneapolis on Saturday, October 1, at Target Field.

More than 4,000 participants have attended the launch events at other cities, and about 500 people of all fitness levels are expected to come out for the event at Target Field.

Minneapolis Fitbit Ambassadors Joy Himley and JC Lippold are excited to guide participants through an exciting and vigorous workout that fitness veterans, newbies and everyone in between will enjoy.

“There are so many fitness opportunities available in the Twin Cities, but some of them can be intimidating to people,” says JC. “Fitbit Local is about creating free, unique fitness experiences that give people the opportunity to connect with each other while trying something new.”

In fact, each month JC and Joy will bring a different workout opportunity to the masses absolutely free.

Both ambassadors have experience motivating others to workout, JC at Corepower Yoga and Solidcore, and Joy at Lifetime Fitness.

On October 1, the two will will lead an energizing, all-levels workout that combines a bodyweight bootcamp and yoga flow. Plus, they’ll have a live DJ to keep you pumped and lots of excitement afterwards.

Here is the breakdown of the morning:
