Grinkie Circus is Coming to Town

Grinkie CircusClear your calendar for Saturday, October 8, 2016 because the Grinkie Circus is coming to town and we don’t think you are going to want to miss it.

This one-day, family friendly event is co-sponsored by Harriet Brewing and the Minneapolis Beard and Moustace Club (MBMC). It is happening at Harriet Brewing from 12:00 pm until 10:00 pm, and during that time, you can watch with awe as aerialists, fire breathers, fire dancers, jugglers and stilt walkers do their thing.

What’s more, a dancing gorilla, musicians, a caricature artist and more will also be on hand to delight the crowd.

Christi Williams is the owner of Grinkie Photography, a Minneapolis-based wedding and portrait photography studio which specializes in vintage pinups. She has photographed thousands of “Grinkie Girls,” many of whom also will be at the Circus making sure everyone is having a blast.

“Last year, I hosted an adult prom, but many people told me that didn’t attend because they didn’t have a date,” says Christi. “So this year, I wanted to create something where everyone would feel welcome.”

Everyone includes pets.

Your licensed pet is welcome to attend for free, and you can even enter him or her in a pet costume contest, (we heard that at least one person plans on bringing their pet chicken). In addition, there will be a kissing booth with proceeds benefitting People & Pets Together, a local food shelf for pets.

You can be sure plenty of Harriet Brewing’s beers and soda will be available, including limited edition varieties for this one-of-a-kind event. Plus, members of the MBMC will be there to judge the beard and moustache contest.

Tickets to attend are $10 for adults; kids under 12 and under are free. To get your tickets and to learn more about the Grinkie Circus, please click here.
