Halloween 2014 Events at Minneapolis Parks

happy halloweenThe Minneapolis Park System was ranked number one in the country and here’s another reason why:

Many of them host Halloween parties that are full of fun and not much fright.

So, if you are looking for a place to go with the kiddos instead of trick-or-treating or in addition to, check out one of these fun events at a Minneapolis park near you.

All are free, unless noted otherwise, and all are happening on Friday, October 31.

 

Preschool Halloween Party at Logan Park (690 13th Ave. NE)
10:00 am until noon
Bring your preschooler dressed in his or her costume to a rockin’ Halloween party which includes a DJ, face painting, arts and crafts and a bounce house. Enjoy a healthy snack and go home with a treat bag. This party is for kids 6 and under, and they ask that you register in advance.

Halloween Party and Parade at Matthews Park (2318 29th Ave. S.)
4:00 pm until 6:00 pm
Tricks, treats, games, goodies and more…this party and parade has it all. The parade starts at 4:00 after which the party will get into full gear. It’s a free afternoon and great for kids of all ages.

Halloween Party at Sibley Park (1900 40th St. E.)
4:30 pm until 6:00 pm
This Halloween party is for kids 11 and under and will have games, a costume contest and treats. Stop by for some Halloween fun!

Spooktacular Halloween Party at Armatage Park (2500 57th St. W.)
6:00 pm until 8:00 pm
Did someone say hayrides and a bonfire? Yes, you can enjoy both at this spooktacular party, along with treats, games and fun. Good for all ages.

Halloween Party at Bottineu Park (2000 2nd St. NE)
6:00 pm until 8:00 pm
This Halloween party will delight those kiddos 14 and under. Enough said.

Harrison Halloween Treat Give Away at Harrison Park (503 Irving Ave. N)
6:00 pm until 8:00 pm
They’re giving away treats so you should be there. Oh, and they’ll have lots of fun activities, too. Great for kids ages 6 – 17.

Halloween at the Hills at Linden Hills Park (3100 43rd St. W.)
6:00 pm until 8:00 pm
Come to the hills for a party which includes treats, activities and fun. Great for all ages.

Halloween Party at Luxton Park (112 Williams Ave. SE)
6:00 pm until 8:00 pm
This Halloween party is perfect for kiddos of all ages. Have fun doing a variety of activities, and of course, get a treat bag before you leave.

Halloween Party at Lyndale Farmstead Park (3900 Bryant Ave. S.)
6:00 pm until 8:00 pm
Halloween. Party. Great for all ages. That is all.

Halloween at the Horn at Powderhorn Park (3400 15th Ave. S)
6:00 pm until 8:00 pm
Come to this Halloween tradition and enjoy lots of different activities and, of course, treats. Great for kids of all ages.

Halloween Party at Windom Park (2251 Hayes St. NE)
6:00 pm until 8:00 pm
Enjoy food, fun, games and entertainment at this Halloween bash. But get there early because treat bags will be handed out to the first 250 kiddos who walk in the door. Great for kids 12 and under.

Halloween Spooktacular at Bryant Square Park (3101 Bryant Ave. S.)
6:30 pm until 8:00 pm
This party has treats, activities, a bonfire and dancing! You know you want to dance on Halloween!

Camden Haunted House at Folwell Park (1615 Dowling Ave. N.)
6:30 pm until 9:00 pm
Get spooked at this haunted house and get your photo taken to prove it. Calm the nerves with concessions and you’ll be as good as new. This is appropriate for kids ages 8 and up, and there is a $4 admission fee.
