Six Places Where Kids Eat Free On Sundays

It’s a paradox, really, and not just for adults but for kids as well. So we thought we’d lessen some of the Sunday stress and share with you six places where you can take your kids to eat for free. Here we go:

Mill Valley Kitchen – This Northern California-inspired restaurant is becoming a favorite for folks who appreciate eateries using locally and sustainably-sourced ingredients.  Their casual atmosphere makes it an easy place to bring the kids. And now on Sundays, kids 12 and under eat free starting at 4:00 pm.

Vescio’s Italian Restaurant – This family-owned restaurant is known for serving authentic, Italian cuisine. Antipasti, pizza, pastas and more, Vescio’s has two locations in Minneapolis – the original (or, as they call it, Originale) in Dinkytown, and the Cucina on County Road 25 (OK, it’s technically in St. Louis Park). Kids 12 and under eat free on Sundays with the purchase on one accompanying adult purchase.

Vescio’s Originale is located at 406 14th Ave SE in Minneapolis and Vescio’s Cucina is located at 4001 Co. Rd. 25 in St. Louis Park.


Mozza Mia Pizza Pie and Mozzarella Bar – Don’t let the name fool you. While they make their own mozzarella and hand-tossed pizza, Mozza Mia has an extensive menu that includes, among other items, salads, pastas and entrees.On Sundays after 4:00 pm, kids can choose from a variety of items to eat – for free – including kid-sized pizzas. Plus, they get a beverage and dessert, too!

Mozza Mia is located at 3910 W. 50th St. in Edina.


D’Amico and Sons – D’Amico and Sons offers high quality food in a casual setting. After you order your soup, salad, sandwich or pizza at the counter, take a seat at your table while the chefs prepare your meal. They have their system down to a science, and on Sundays after 2:00 pm kids 10 and under eat free with an adult purchase of a sandwich, salad, pasta, pizza or entree.

D’Amico and Sons has several Minneapolis locations including the one in Uptown at 2210 Hennepin Ave S. They also have locations in Edina at 50th & France, St. Paul on Grand Ave, Golden Valley and Roseville.


The Patty Wagon – If you like burgers, you need to check out the Patty Wagon, located in South Minneapolis. The menu boasts a variety of specialty burgers and stuffed burgers (a burger stuffed with peanut butter anyone?) that are sure to make your mouth water. And, if you’re in the mood for a hot dog, salad, sandwich, fish & chips or something else, you’ll find it here, too. Kids up to age 12 can receive a free kids meal all day on Sunday with the purchase of an entree.

Tailgate Sports Cafe – A fun spot on the border of Minneapolis and Richfield, Tailgate Sports Cafe has something for everyone – pastas, pizzas, burgers, salads, sandwiches and so much more. And on Sundays, kids can eat for free all day with the purchase of an an adult meal.

    Hello. I am the marketing director for two Minneapolis Restaurants, both of which offer free meals for kids on Sundays. The Patty Wagon and The Tailgate Sports Cafe both have Kids Eat Free on Sundays. Could you consider adding these to your list?
