This is Audrey. She’s a nine-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier looking for a place to call home as she rides out her Golden Years.
Audrey’s had a rough go at it, having lots and lots of puppies over the years. But now, she is in foster care through Ruff Start Rescue and is enjoying every second of it.
The only thing that would make her happier is if she found a family to lover her up so that she can love them back.
Audrey is quite an affectionate dog and is very well behaved. Her foster mom calls her a “60-pound lap dog,” but that’s probably not such a bad thing. She loves to cuddle up with her humans and shower them with hugs and kisses.
Since Audrey is an older dog, she is pretty mellow and she loves to sleep, but that’s not to say she’d pass up the opportunity to go for a walk, because she wouldn’t. She loves walks.
She’s great on a leash and she loves going for car rides, too. She’s also quite good at sitting, laying down, and shaking your hand.
Actually, Audrey is just an all-around great dog. Her foster mom wanted to adopt her, but Audrey doesn’t really trust the other resident dogs. Audrey has always had to fight for her food, so she really needs to be in a home where she is the only pet.
That said, her foster mom says she is the best dog anyone could ask for because she just wants to love and be loved.
Who do you know who’s looking to bring a four-legged friend into the home and make a new best friend? Please keep sweet Audrey in mind.

About Pause 4 Paws
Pause 4 Paws raises funds for 18 animal rescue organizations that have little time to raise money on their own because they are in the trenches doing the difficult work, day and night. The focus of Pause 4 Paws is to help these organizations with their life-saving efforts. The individuals who work for the 18 organizations that Pause 4 Paws financially supports are tireless in their efforts to rescue animals by providing medical care and finding forever homes for dogs and cats in need. In 2012, these 18 organizations rescued over 5,500 dogs and cats, and they vaccinated, spayed and neutered an additional 5,300. That is almost 11,000 animals!
