It was hard to narrow it down to just three events, but we did it. And if you like ghosts, history, food, beer, giving to a good cause, supporting local businesses and having fun, you’ll want to check out our Pick 3 Weekend Events.
Friday the 13th is a perfect day for the St. Paul Ghost Tour company to kick off their very first St. Paul Ghost Walk.
Ever wonder where ghosts hang out in St. Paul, and more importantly, why? You will get the answer to those questions – and much more knowledge – during this Ghost Walk.
You’ll also discuss the difference between a ghost and a spirit, and you’ll get the full definition of a haunting.
The Ghost Walk is a 90-minute, fun and easy walking tour where you will learn the haunting history of St. Paul, which includes public executions, vengeful spirits, angry gangsters, and much more. The tour begins at 8:00 pm and tickets are $20 per person. Get yours here.
Enjoy some really good food, some really good beer and help raise money to kick cancer’s butt. This benefit for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Minnesota will feature two food trucks – O’Cheeze and Gastrotruck – which will prepare dishes containing Vidalia onions and turkey, among other ingredients.
The evening will also include live music from NBC The Voice contestant, Nicholas David, and Grammy-award winner, DJ Head will also be on hand spinning discs.
Tickets are $40 and include one meal from one of the meal trucks, one beer, and an evening of fun. The night goes from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and you can get your tickets here.
Sausage and beer…it goes together like cider and beer. And you can get all three on Sunday at the Twin Cities Best of the Wurst. And whose sausage will reign supreme? A panel of celebrity judges will figure it out in a ranked voting system for the following categories: NE Mpls and Friends, South(ish) Minneapolis, The Greater Downtowns, and Butcher Shops.
A whole slew of restaurants and delis will be on hand to represent, and your ticket includes all the sausage samples you can stomach, plus your first pint. And if that’s not enough, you can also enjoy live music from the Belfast Cowboys.
The fun runs from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm, and general admission tickets are $35. For more information and to get your tickets, please click here.
